Cloudify

Automatic Google Drive backups for your Minecraft world

Last updated: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data Cloudify accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored when you use the Cloudify Minecraft mod ("Cloudify", "the mod", "we", "us").

What Cloudify accesses

Cloudify requests access to Google Drive on your behalf in order to back up your Minecraft world files. Specifically, it may:

What Cloudify does not do

Where your data is stored

Your world backups are uploaded directly from your computer to your own Google Drive account using Google's APIs. Cloudify does not operate a separate server that stores copies of your files — your data remains under your Google account and subject to Google's own privacy practices.

Local data

Cloudify stores minimal configuration locally on your machine, such as which files or folders to exclude from backup and basic instance metadata (for example, an identifier for the Minecraft instance being backed up) used to keep backups organized. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere except as needed to organize your own Drive folder structure.

Authentication

Cloudify uses Google's OAuth sign-in flow to obtain permission to access your Google Drive. Your Google account credentials are never seen or stored by Cloudify — authentication is handled entirely by Google.

Your control over your data

You can revoke Cloudify's access to your Google Drive at any time from your Google Account permissions page. You can also delete the backup folders created by Cloudify directly from your Google Drive at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
